IDOM are currently recruiting for a Track Alignment Engineer to join our growing business in the United Kingdom and be part of a company with global reach.

We are currently seeking a career driven, people focussed & highly skilled track alignment engineer to join our Infrastructure (Rail) team. You will be joining a team responsible for designing, directing and executing high profile Rail projects here in the United Kingdom and across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
International travel is an essential part of this role so candidates must be acceptant of this requirement before applying. All candidates must be available for travel and able to stay abroad depending on the needs of the project.
The successful candidate will develop track alignment designs into clearly buildable construction plans, demonstrating technical expertise and excellent communication attributes. You will be responsible for supporting other team members including technicians, junior engineers and planning engineers in delivering these works.
Previous design engineering experience on railways track alignment works is essential, all candidates will be required to understand & utilise Railway construction processes within this area. An understand of the Network Rail design GRIP processes is expected, although experience drawn from other Railway projects outside of Network Rail would be recognised.

Daily responsibilities
• Design track alignment construction plans and coordinates.
• Work on major projects & also be able to manage multiple smaller projects.
• Competent reviewing of junior engineering designs & drafting.
• Integrates and works well with peers in other disciplines, often as part of major project teams.
• Support the development of peers & junior engineers.
• Represent IDOM professionally and collaboratively to all customers.
• Participate in engineering & management meetings regarding project progress
• Participate in engineering & management meetings regards the overall development of IDOM’s Rail business.
Practical requirements
• Degree qualified
• Member of professional institution
• Relevant project experience
• Software experience (Bentley OpenRail, Ispol, Autodesk Civil3D, etc)
