I am looking for a track plant specialist with a good rail track background, to deliver plant excellence for rail engineering works associated with CP6 framework projects in the north west
Role
You will have previous experience working in a similar role within programmes from a track aspect. This role would suit a supervisor or track engineer.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide a check of the lifting operations involving on track plant in compliance with the Lifting
- Operations and Lifting Equipment regulations, Network Rail and Rail Industry Standards.
- Provide the technical lead of on track plant including all briefing requirements to Works Delivery staff and suppliers.
- Provide expert advice and guidance of on track plant operations to Works Delivery management.
- Provide coaching and mentoring support for supervisor and senior managers required to undertake on track plant assurance.
- Provide support for national initiatives involving on track plant improvements.
- Conduct assurance surveillance and inspections to identify good practice and incidents on non-compliance and take appropriate action.
- Act as regular liaison and key point of contact with on track plant suppliers to manage compliance to relevant standards and maintain a good working relationship.
- Provide the focus for technical support for on track plant incident investigations
Essential requirements:
Experience of planning
- Knowledge of LOLER regulations and application
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations Site Safety requirements
- Ability to obtain Network Rail Lift Planner competence
- Knowledge of the engineering safety management and risk assessment processes
- Ability to work under pressure and autonomously
- Experience of leading assurance activities
- Ability to obtain the Personal Track Safety (PTS) competence.
