At the heart of revitalising Britains railway, Network Rail is involved in some of the most diverse and ambitious ventures Britains ever seen. Our Network Operations team plays its part by planning, operating and maintaining the railway day-to-day. The Anglia route works closely with our customers and is accountable for improving customer service, safety and performance, as well as providing a value for money railway. Right now, they need your E&P expertise for this vital and exciting safety critical role.
This is a newly created position and is required to ensure that the relationship between the Crossrail Programme and the operational maintenance team is managed effectively.
The impact of Crossrail on the Great Eastern mainline is extremely complex and therefore a considered balance of the works to be delivered is essential. To succeed, an electrical qualification to a HNC level is a requirement. Experience in project management would be an advantage. A detailed understanding of relevant standards and procedures is important too, as is design experience, familiarity with failure/incident management and rectification techniques and knowledge of other functional disciplines Well-organised, with good interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, an understanding of coaching techniques would be useful, but is not essential.
