We are currently dealing with a major Rail Engineering Contractor who are looking to recruit an Assistant Engineering Manager within the Derby team to work on a range of Rail projects encompassing Civils and Electrification, with training to progress into an Engineering Management position within the future.

Within the role youll assist in managing project Engineering integration, assisting in Undertaking/Participating in project IDR, IDC reviews and provide technical support to Project CRE. Typical duties of the Rail Assistant Engineering Manager can include, but not limited to:

• Provide support to the and direction to Engineering staff.
• Assist in ensuring that all project related engineering tasks / activities are robustly planned in accordance with timescale and budget constraints.
• Maintain compliance with client standards, specifications, CDM and relevant Health and Safety legislation including ensuring that accurate as built drawings and health and safety file information is produced as appropriate and returned to customer via the approved means / processes.
• Ensure compliance to Client CRT documentation.
• Undertake required duties under NR/L2/INI/02009.
• Provide technical support to the engineering team.

Job Requirements

• Railway Engineering experience minimum of 3 years.(not discipline specific)
• Exposure to integration of different Rail disciplines
• Professional qualified Engineer (BEng, MEng, HND etc)
• This an excellent position for a Engineering looking to step into an Engineering Management position, for examples an Assistant Project Engineer, Design Engineer etc.
