About The Role
Provide technical and safety leadership for E&P engineering within the company in accordance with the Health & Safety Management System. Own the company E&P Engineering policies for the management of teams and project delivery to meet the business objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
As part of your day to day role, you are responsible for the following:
- Develop and manage the E&P Engineering team structure, processes and tools to deliver, review and validate engineering outputs to support the programme schedule, budget and quality requirements.
- Act as the company technical authority for E&P engineering.
- Define and direct the E&P engineering assurance regime.
- Develop safety and quality objectives within the programme including appropriate validation and verification, testing and commissioning, staff development and competence management processes.
- Identify and manage the programme engineering budget along with providing support information.
- Manage all project development, engineering and commissioning activities so that they result in schemes that are affordable, and that meet programme requirements for time, cost and quality.
- Manage the commissioning and approval processes for all aspects of E&P Engineering.
- Direct the production and maintenance of company policy and technical strategy for E&P engineering, optimised with other disciplines, to deliver the company objectives.
- Represent Linbrooke Services E&P Engineering interests with internal and external stakeholder.
- Review and approve deviations from company rules and standards.
- Agree and enact technical recommendations arising from formal investigations and other investigations into significant safety or performance affecting failures.

Essential Attributes & Skills
- Chartered Engineer with relevant successful experience of Programme Management within the Railway Industry or other complex E&M industries/projects
- University degree in electrical engineering
- Membership of an appropriate Professional Institution
- Relevant experience of railway engineering systems and equipment, and implementation
Desirable Attributes & Skills
- BS7671 Related Competencies (e.g City & Guilds <phone number removed> )
- Fellow of an appropriate institution
- Experience of developing technical strategy
- Experience of developing asset management strategies
- Experience of negotiating at senior level and balancing the views of a range of stakeholders
