Rail Junior Bridge Engineer - India

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experience Junior Bridge Engineer for a JICA financed Highspeed Rail project in India. The role shall be working as part of the PMC.

Opportunity:

This leading International Consultancy who have a long standing reputation for delivering similar project around the world are looking to engage with an International Engineer to cooperate with the design and construction team of the special bridges and support in clearing any request for information/clarification and be self-disciplined to interface with various stakeholders for bringing in the necessary focus for a quality deliverable.

Project:

The project is a Highspeed Rail project that features over 90% of viaduct section utilizing various bridge engineering methodologies such as, Full Span Launching Method, Segment-by-Segment Method, Balanced cantilever for concrete bridges, and domestic fabrication of simple/continuous steel truss bridges to its incremental launching on site.

Key requirements for the role:

• Graduate in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• More than 5 years' work experience
• Majority of experience in bridge construction, erection, supervision & planning
• Business communication (effective writing and verbal) ability in English
• Below age 40 years (position includes field site and requires the applicant to be fit)

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in steel truss bridges construction
• Experience in precast/cast-in-situ, segmental, pre/post stressed concrete bridges construction
• Experience in construction and planning of casting yard for RCC girders, box girders
• Exposure to FSLM erection, balanced cantilever erection, or incremental launching.
• Exposure to rigging study and safe erection of precast concrete and Steel girders
• Field experience of bridges for Shinkansen / HSR (highspeed railway) projects in Japan, China, Malaysia or Europe
• Railways, MRT, Rapid rails, metros bridge construction
• Road construction with erection of precast girders exceeding length of 20mt.
• Familiarity with Japanese codes relevant to bridges

Salary Package:

$5-7,000 per month tax free
