Installation Design Engineer - Rail/Telecoms

Are you a skilled Installation Design Engineer, with a good understanding of the rail communications discipline?

Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Specialists are looking for an experienced Installation Design Engineer to join one of our prestigious clients on a permanent basis. The successful candidate(s) will be assisting with the ongoing London Underground Deep Tube Upgrade.

Location (s): Coulsdon

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the Design and Engineering department in the production of overall design documentation.
• Interpreting and presenting detailed, design survey information.
• Compiling drawing and documentation packs for submission to clients.
• Work with various project teams to update and revise drawings and documentation where necessary.
• The candidate must be able to attend various locations over the UK, as and when necessary.
• The candidate must be confident in the use of discipline specific design software.

Education Level and/or Relevant Experience

• HND/HNC in Electrical &n Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the railway communications discipline.
• A good understanding of the Communications and MEP design regulations.
• Candidate must be able to interpret detailed survey information of railway infrastructure, and produce detailed design deliverables, such as Comms & CRMS reports/drawings, MEP fixing arrangements and earthing arrangements.
