Kirow Crane Operator/ Maintainer Permanent
The Client.
We are working with our infrastructure client to fill the above mentioned position. The environment is based around rail infrastructure including track, civils and signalling.
The project will involve undertaking the safe and effective operation and maintenance/repair the Kirow Crane Fleet along with all other specialist plant machines in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines and operational regulations.
The ideal candidate will;
Operate and maintain heavy lift Kirow Cranes on behalf of Specialist Plant on a day-to-day basis; all operational tasks are conducted on a shift basis which includes nights or days 7-days per week.
Work as part of a close-knit team providing a professional service to the customer.
Adhere to a Safety Critical Assessment Process for the maintenance of the machines.
Ensure all operational tasks are adhered to in accordance with internal and external policies and Health and Safety regulations.
Deliver work consistently to the plan.
Undertake training as required to retain and obtain required competency levels.
Skillset
Possess an on-site electrical/fitting background.
Be a qualified electrician to City and Guilds standard or equivalent.
Ideally have Railway experience.
Ideally have Crane experience.
Work as part of a team but also take the lead where required.
Possess computer literacy.
Be flexible.
Be willing to undertake training for the role.
Be willing to work unsociable hours nights and weekends, Bank holidays (Easter, Christmas and New Year).
Work outside in all weather conditions.
Work away from home for extended periods.
Be physically fit.
