STE 4 / STE 7 Structures Examiners Location - Nationwide , UK Salary - Competitive Permanent & Contract Positions Available CEI Collins Engineers Ltd is a civil, structural, and underwater engineering consultancy company based in the UK and Ireland. Due to a major opportunity in England and Wales, we wish to recruit Engineer / Technician-Divers for immediate employment on the Network Rail CP5 CEFA Contract. JOB PURPOSE: The candidate(s) will be required to undertake underwater inspections of bridge abutments and piers and also detailed examinations of steel, concrete and masonry bridges on behalf of Network Rail ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should • Hold a recognised qualification in civil or structural engineering • Be able to demonstrate current compliance with the STE 4 and /or STE 7 competencies for structures examinations in accordance with the Network Rails Standard NR/SP/CTM/107 entitled Competence & Training in Civil Engineering. • Hold a current PTS, accreditation and ideally have COSS and IWA accreditation. • Ideally be trained for high risk confined space entry. • Hold HSE certified surface supply diving qualification and in-date medical fitness to dive certification along with First Aid at Work certification is preferable. • Be experienced in preparation of examination reports and uploading of this information to ALARM database. • Have a minimum experience of 18 months in bridge / structures examinations. NB The Candidtate needs to clearly demonstrate this level of experience on their CV. • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Candidate will be expected to take a Numeracy and Literacy Test • Comply with a full Medical Assessment • Be results focused with ability to work on own initiative • Have the ability to think strategically • Be fully proficient in all MS Office applications • Be willing to work weekends and midweek nights as required. • Hold a full clean driving licence.
