Role Purpose

Produce and assist in completion of:

• Time and or bar charts programmes aided by staging diagrams for core work activities
• Microsoft Project programmes for each Package of works
• WPP's, Task Briefing Sheets & mitigation plans
• 'White Board Briefings'
• Temporary Works Supervision of temporary works such as embankment cutting, shuttering, hoarding and more.
• Technical budgetary considerations; including resource, materials & equipment requirements
• Critique the design and ensure buildability
• Explore opportunity to improve the design with regard to efficiency, budget and engineering focus
• Effective setting out and installation; including Test & Inspection plans, As Builts
• Manage and implement the effective setting out of the renewal installation including the use of 3D control methods
• Lead, direct and monitor the on-site engineering works undertaken by internal & external staff for all site works
• Technical review of non-complex Form 2/3 Design: RC frames, excavation and foundations, Track support Zone factored, structure loading and clearances
• Act as the engineering liaison with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers where required

Important experience

• Minimum Degree/HND Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Extensive on-site delivery experience
• Extensive knowledge of Civil design, surveying and setting out
• Up-to-date knowledge of plant and equipment
• Proficient knowledge of project planning and
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems

Important skills

• PTS and COSS

• Proficient in the use of surveying and gauging equipment

• CAT scanning competence

• Computer literate:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, Ms Project

• CDM Regulations awareness

• Temporary Works Co-ordinator
