Senior Engineer Rail Telecoms

Location – York

Here at Babcock International we’re looking for a Senior Telecoms Engineer to work as a part of our Rail division on a variety of Rail projects based out of our York office.

You will lead engineering activities in connection with the design and implementation of project work and ensure that they are co-ordinated and technically compliant to Client and Company Standards. Identify any changes to scope and initiate change requests. Act as the main engineering point of contact. Work as an integral part of the project team.

What do I need to do the job?

You’ll need:

• Rail industry telecoms experience needed.
• Good leadership qualities.
• Flexible working approach
• IT Literacy – Microsoft, Excel, P6 Planning and CAD.
• PTS
• You should hold appropriate educational and technical qualification e.g. HNC/HND/Degree.
• Should be an IRSE Licence holder in an Engineering Manager category, 7.8.110.

Anything else I need to know?

Due to the nature of the role it will involve some travel all over the UK when needed.
This role is based on a 35 hour working week with 29 days holiday and other benefits including pension scheme.
