We are currently working with an ever-expanding Engineering consultancy who are looking at growing their Rail Bridge and/or Structures team in Basingstoke.  This is an exciting opportunity for a technical Bridge Engineer who is looking to join an expanding consultancy. You will be specifically working on Network Rail projects, most bridges but can include stations and temporary works.  

Ideally with are looking for a candidate with 5+ years experience working in a Rail or Highway Bridge environment, so it could be an ideal opportunity for an Engineer looking to progress into a Senior Bridge Engineering position with Chartership being supported with the said consultancy offering full support if preparing for Chartership and can provide an Institution of Civil Engineers training agreement.

This is an excellent opportunity and would suit a Bridge Engineer looking to step up into a Senior Engineering position, or a Senior Bridge Engineer looking for a new challenge. Rail experience isnt necessarily essential and would consider candidate from a Highways Bridge background.

The job role will include but not be limited to 

• Design of civil and structural schemes (bridges)
• Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
• Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports
• Undertaking feasibility / option studies
• Provision of site support to contractors
• Preparation of project programmes and cost estimates
• Production of quotations for clients and responding to tender enquiries

As mentioned, this position is based Basingstoke, so could is commutable from surrounding areas such as Reading, Guildford amongst others.
