Senior Rail Renewals Engineer in Crewe, Cheshire, Crewe, United Kingdom
Our client is currently recruiting for Senior Rail Renewals Engineers based in Crewe, on permanent contracts. Our client is proud to be a leading international infrastructure and construction group with a diverse and inclusive workforce.
The salary rate is negotiable based on experience for these positions and are due to start on notice on a full-time basis.
The successful candidates will have at least two years’ experience in the sector and excellent knowledge of Track Renewals Disciplines, Rules and Regulations, HASAW and all appropriate regulations.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Assisting with the provision of technical support to the Renewals Manager for planning and delivering track renewals ensuring technical aspects of all works comply with relevant CRSA, Line Standards and safety legislation
- Monitoring and ensuring technical compliance on all works on site and office
- Ensuring all works are undertaken in compliance with contractual specification and all relevant Safety Legislation
- Undertaking all technical aspects of works in compliance
- Assisting with and attend Whiteboard / Stage Gate meetings in accordance with CRSA Track Renewals Procedure producing the required outputs to support effective and robust delivery of the works to completion
- Reviewing completed works to ensure Best Practice and Lessons Learnt activities are captured, recorded and utilised in future work planning and execution
- Participating in the planning and preparation of Track Renewals
- Undertaking surveys, planning and programming of work, technical supervision on site, preparation of documents
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of all records required and the production of registers for management reports
- Directing, controlling and monitoring technical quality on site
Experience, knowledge and expertise required:
- Good knowledge of all aspects of Track Renewals Disciplines
- Excellent knowledge of Rules & Regulations, H.A.S.A.W and other appropriate regulations
- Astute knowledge of both group and line standards
- Good IT skills
- Full UK Driving License
- Personal Track Safety (PTS)
- Controller of Site Safety (COSS)
