Track Maintenance Planner
TXM Recruit is currently working with a Multi-National, Heavy Industry client who are currently in the process of expanding their Engineering Division, in Pilbara, Western Australia. Due to this expansion, they now have a requirement for a Track Maintenance Planner to improve their current track and plant maintenance to continually enhance reliability and performance within their Asset Management Sector.
Role Outline:
The purpose of this position is to aid in the development of maintenance plans, schedules and packages for maintenance activities on track, access road, and plant based equipment. This will include the generation of detailed work scopes, material identification, work packages, work schedules and cost estimations for all packages of work.
As well as the above, you will also be responsible for analysing maintenace history to ensure that appropriate maintenance frequencies and practices are in place. Allocation of equipment and material resources to achieved planned outcomes with be a key requirement.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have come from either a fixed plant maintenance background or a strong mining maintenance background with a key emphasis on pre-planned and planned maintenance schedules, work packages and cost analsysis. Previous experience using SAP or Ramsys would be beneficial but not essential as you will be responsible for the start up and implementation of the "planning track maintenance team".
Progress:
Initially starting out as a "Track Maintenance Planner", the individual will have the opportunity to move into a "Lead Planning" role based on your performance within the planning team.
Job Role:
Identify
Prioritise all incoming work from the Track Information System (RAMSYS) and SAP for the relevant area every morning and take appropriate actions to ensure a high standard of notifications, including:
"Ensure correct priority
"Manage outstanding notifications
"Process notifications to maintenance orders
"Delete any duplicates and close/redirect any non-value adding notifications
"Provide feedback and coaching to notification initiator if required
"Request additional info from initiator if required
"Review condition reports for planning of corrective actions required within the next 12 weeks
Plan
"Plan maintenance operations with all required parts, materials, equipment and labour with a 12 week outlook
"Release all PM01s (including Reliability Assurance and Maintenance tasks) for area of accountability for the next 6 weeks
"All parts to be ordered and any expert resources with a lead time exceeding 6 weeks are to be engaged
"Continuously liaise with the Long Term Track Planner to update the long term planning strategies to ensure correct task duration, timing, and key driving tasks are detailed
"Confirm parts have arrived and set all tasks as SCH (Include In Schedule) that are ready for scheduling in SAP
"Rough-cut schedule the maintenance order via the Revision field
"Participate in the annual ZBB budgeting process for area of accountability
"Use tasklists for a minimum of 75% of the planned work
Schedule
"Liaise with contractor planners and Track Inspectors to schedule all short term track maintenance works
"Request all required track possessions for the following work schedules during the weekly Track
Possession Scheduling meeting and enter requests into the company Shut Calendar
"Attend the relevant Commitment/KPI meetings to understand improvements required in the planning step of the work management cycle
Execute
"Attend 7:00am Track Information Centre meeting with the Track team daily
Complete
"Review all returned job packages for area of accountability on a daily basis
"Use any information fed back from the maintainers via the job packages to update task lists and BOMs
"Provide ongoing feedback to Administrators regarding completion of work to enable timely receipt of invoices and submission of accruals at month end
Analyse
"Identify if a new maintenance plan is required for any re-occurring tasks and create the plan
"Update any existing maintenance plans as required with consideration of wider implications
"Understand any schedule compliance problems experienced with a task resulting from the planning phase and take action
"Periodically review list of unused parts for potential obsolescence
"Participate in Planner/Scheduler team meeting for continuous improvement
On Offer:
Our client will assist with a 457 Visa, enabling you to work for 4 years within Australia and apply for permanent residency after 2 years.
A very competitive salary of $120 - $130,000 per annum (£79,000 - £86,000 p/a) with a company pension of 10% of your annual salary contributed by the company, 10% performance bonus.
The role is based on a "Fly In, Fly Out" Roster which is 5 days on/2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off.
Re-location package to Western Australia.
