Thales? Transportation Systems Domain are looking for an Operations Support Engineer to work within the Docklands Light Railway Technical Services Office (DLR TSO) based in Poplar, London. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Technical Support Office Team Lead, the Operations Support Engineer will be responsible for: * Provision of analysis of operational events and statistics (internal and external) including use of the ?ViewTrac? tool. * Liaison with DLR Operations staff to provide support to operational failures including detailed analysis of root-cause and assist in the maintenance of DLR signalling assets. * Perform works against appropriate standards especially key health and safety requirements Maintain competency to work on the DLR system according to the Thales DLR competency management system Technical & Professional Skills * A detailed understanding of the production of operational statistics (for railways preferably). * Experience of working in a team supporting response to operational failures/incidents. * A detailed understanding and experience of implementing critical health and safety standards * The post requires that the following certificates and / or licenses be held: * Docklands Light Railway PICOW certificate ? desirable, but not essential ? will be trained. * 3BL Signalling ? desirable, but not essential * Valid Driving License Personality & Behaviours * The post holder should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the spoken and written word * A good outward appearance, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure are vital . >
