The Company
Our client is an AIM-listed mining company committed to the development, construction and operation of a multi-billion dollar Iron Ore project and associated rail and port facilities in West Africa.

The Role
The Rail Locomotive Driver contributes to the achievement of production targets and high levels of customer satisfaction through the reliable delivery of iron ore from the mine to the port, while maintaining a high standard of workplace health and safety.

The Requirements

As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

• Qualifications and experience driving EDM trains preferably GM Locomotives in a Coal or Iron Ore operation although we will consider Heavy Freight Haulage experience. (not domestic)
• Experience with associated marshalling and yard activities.

• An understanding of and a history of safe operating procedures in the heavy industrial sector
• Experience with national, ethnic and multi-cultural environments in developing countries would be beneficial.
• Proven ability to communicate, read and write effectively in English

The Rewards
The role will be rewarded with an attractive 7/3 FIFO roster and an exciting opportunity to join this very large project along with a US$ salary package. You will be flown from anywhere in Europe or Africa ideally.
