The Infrastructure Projects 'Track Delivery' organisation is a progressive team that has been remitted to deliver a vast amount of work through CP5. The organisation has three nationwide delivery operations: High Output Track Delivery, Plain Line Track Delivery and Switch and Crossing Track Delivery. The team is committed to safe delivery, well planned work, exceeding Stakeholders expectations and meeting Network Rail's CP5 efficiency challenge. The Capacity Planning team amend the train timetable, working from train operator requests.The candidate will be working on a TPS (train planning system) working with Freight. An Operational Planner is responsible for taking these requests from a train operating company and using a bespoke computer system checking these requests against a number of different planning rules. (Training will be provided on the train planning system). They are then required to work with the customer to find a solution that meets their requirements which is also compatible with the rules they have to work within. An Operational Planner has daily deadlines which they are required to meet while still maintaining the quality standard set. Requirements- Very computer literate, admin ability, previous planning experience would be beneficial. Previous experience; working in a rule bound environment, working with customers, working as part of a large team, working to daily deadlines Skills; Computer literacy, detail & accuracy, organised, proactive, consistently achieve against deadlines, self-motivated, data interpretation (not statistics) Desirable - Railway knowledge or good geographical knowledge, seeking long term temping or perm role - ideally with NR If you feel that this would be a good project and something you can perform well in then please apply and i will be in touch.
