Operations Industrial Planner in Widnes, Cheshire, United Kingdom

Rullion have an exciting role for an Operations Industrial Planner to work with a large Rolling Stock Company, based out of their Modernisation Facility in Widnes, Cheshire.

This is a minimum of a 6 month contract on 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Pay option of PAYE or Umbrella Company.
Paying between £18.10 to £20.75 per hour PAYE
or
£22.48 to £25.87 per hour Umbrella Company.


Key requirements:
* Ideally from a manufacturing/industrial engineering background although could come from a Supply Chain background.
* Must have strong ERP experience ideally in SAP. Key elements I am interested in are Materials Master, Bill of Materials, Routings, MRP
* Ideally be a graduate in Engineering.
* Very capable in Excel.
* Experience of working in a cross functional team.

For opportunities and tenders:
* Build the industrial planning in coherency with inputs from tender team and site management.
* Analyse the bottlenecks (site capacity) at least quarterly.
* Give data according to Global Planning and S&OP process taking in account PIO and Site Strategic Plan

For firm projects:
* Get the commitment on the hypothesis taken from all stakeholders
* Build the industrial planning taking into account availability of Material, Men, Machine (3M approach)
* Identify the bottlenecks as well as and all other possible risks on the industrial planning, alert Industrial Planning manager and the PrPMs of the projects involved each time a new one is identified, propose scenario to secure them
* Daily monitoring of industrial planning and meeting with industrial teams (Manuf / Testing / SC )
* Update industrial planning into the ERP system each time there is a change validated by all stakeholders
* Guarantee that the data inside the ERP are the latest update.
* Participate to the P&FM process by doing the appropriate simulations to support decisions to be taken.
* Evaluate impacts of decisions on the MPS, by doing simulations. Then when decisions are validated to do some short-term changes, be sure it is updated in the MPS and in the ERP system as well.
* In case of major change, prepare communication pack for SCM and Sourcing (to be send to Internal and external suppliers)
* Analyze the root causes of delay of the industrial planning and their impact, including impact on other projects (multi project line).
* Update weekly the actual dates and communicate internally on the MPS status through a cockpit (tables, graphs,)
* Update KPIs MPS Accuracy and UoT and communicate them
* Calculate manufacturing workload inside the planning tool, identify the resources needed and share results for monthly meeting
* Calculate the WIP


Purpose of the job:
* Build the Master Production Schedule (Industrial Planning) for all firm projects, opportunities, and tenders.
* Ensure feasibility and coherency with customer needs.
* Propose feasible scenario for P&FM cycle and follow daily the progress of the manufacturing plan.
* Manage manufacturing and testing resources (physical and per workshops/métiers/hourly rates) including bottle neck approach.
Support the Industrial Engineering function


Mandatory:
* Experience of Material Master and BOM generation within GSI
* Experience of production planning
* Experience in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Planning


Desirable:
* Knowledge of E2E vision for industrial planning process and process impact in ERP procurement and manufacturing.
