Role Profile: As Protection Master they must be responsible for protecting all personnel nominated as being under their care from exposure to electric current associated with the track, and injury from moving trains. As planned maintenance technician, to undertake planned maintenance along with providing support to first and second line maintenance activities on a wide range of communications assets, mainly on the london underground network. Typical Deliverables: •Must adhere to the Transport at Work Act, particular attention being drawn to the Alcohol and Drugs Policy. •As Protection Master they must be responsible for protecting all personnel nominated as being under their care from exposure to electric current associated with the track, and injury from moving vehicles. •Completion of planned maintenance in line with defined schedules. Business Operations Skills Experience: •Proven experience maintaining communication assets in the railway environment. •Proven experience working regularly as a London Underground Protection Master. Business Operations Skills Qualifications: •City & Guilds, HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent •Must have current in date LUL Protection Master qualification •Must have current in date LUL SPC/SOTT qualification •Knowledge of the legislative and technical standards applicable to the rail environment •IRSE Telecomms Maintainer Licence (can enrol and apply for this after joining) Behavioural Requirements: •The job holder will be required to work outside in all weathers and in inaccessible places amongst danger. •There may be occasions, as the business deems appropriate for staff to work on other networks telent is an equal opportunity employer.
