New fulfilling Interim position offering competitive per day rates

An innovative and credible Consultancy have an opportunity for a skilled and process focused Project Engineer with that strong multi-discipline appreciation for UK Rail Infrastructure and UK Rail Operations.

Based in London for an initial set period (possible extensions thereafter), the Rail Project Engineer will have full working experience with formulating and assisting in the creation of credible Project Plans from Conception / Feasibility through to Completion.

It is envisaged that the appointed Project Engineer will have a very strong understanding of either Pathway processes, GRIP stages or Gateway systems processes for projects and will also possess the following:

• UK Rail and Light Transit experience with strong Safety Critical and H&S working appreciation
• Strong proven abilities in compiling credible Plans under a Gateway System process (e.g. GRIP processes), (from Feasibility to Completion, covering each stage for approval)
• Good appreciation of P6, does not have to be a super user, good working appreciation of other planning tools such as MSProject, etc.
• Experience of working with TOC s, Clients and Key Stakeholders, being strong and confident, able to interface effectively at all levels.

As stated, this is an Interim, for a short duration. Our client is open to the amount of years work experience one might have within UK Rail. More importantly is the Project Engineering experience within UK Rail heavy or light Rail systems, strong working appreciation of UK Rail Infrastructure and UK Rail Operations and the proven ability to formulate credible project plans / programme plans with set milestone ready to be approved.
