A contract manager managing the TSSSA supply contract with a major rail supplier for the procurement of fleet materials.
TSSSA CONTRACT MANAGER - PR241
BASED IN LONDON

My client is looking for a contract manager with contracts and procurement experience with rail experience to manage the supply contract with a major
rail supplier for technical parts for the rolling stock fleet for a major underground line.
The contract performance will be measured through the availability of fleet materials to be supplied under the contracts cost vs bugdet.
The ideal candidate will have had relevant experience dealing with contracts and procurement issues within the rail industry.
Please see the key accountabilities below:
- Deliver procurement and contract management services in accordance with the Commercial Directorates policies, processes and procedures
- Monitor expenditure against contract and ensure that actual spend profiles are within contract budget £10m P.A.
- Provide and verify supplier payment requests with AP Fleet Managers against contract delivery obligations, and provide approvals for period
payments
- Liaise with AP Fleet to ensure that the supplier delivers services according to quality, quantity and timeframes, in the manner specified in the
contract and if not, make recommendations for corrective actions
- Monitor and review contract performance through agreed performance measures (KPIs and SLAs). This could include the following dimensions
payments; variations; demand planning and inventory data management; technical support; supplier interfaces with Metronet; warranty claims; repairable
float management; responsibilities for spares and repairs supply and material ownership
- Conduct regular contract reviews meetings, internally and with the supplier as appropriate
- Prepare reports on TSSSA contract performance, budgetary variations and supply of information required by contracts to be provided to and received
from TSSSA suppliers
- Manage amendments and/or contract renewals in a timely fashion in accordance with the policies and procedure of the Commercial directorate and in
liaison with Legal
- Maintain contract documentation for completeness and currency
- Manage any contract disputes that may arise and subsequently escalating to the Commercial Directorate and Legal when necessary
- Schedule and run end of contract performance reviews against contractual obligations.
- Facilitate internal interfaces with AP Fleet on material availability, warranty, stores and failure information.
