Tracsis Consultancy is a leading provider of strategic and operational planning to the rail industry. We use our in-house and third-party software to undertake a range of assignments, including timetabling, performance modelling and resource planning. We are a growing business and are looking to recruit new members of our consultancy team specialising in Train Planning and/or RailSys modelling.
This role will specialise in timetable development, rolling stock planning and/or performance modelling using industry standard specialist software. You will work closely with current operators and with clients that are tendering for new rail franchises, assisting them with their strategic plans.You will need to have significant, demonstrable experience of train planning, rolling stock diagramming and/or RailSys modelling in a production environment. You will need to be analytical, technically minded and computer literate. You will be working with our in-house TRACS software products and with third-party software such as CMS Timetables, VoyagerPlan and RailSys.
Key Attributes:
• Minimum 2 years experience of train planning, rolling stock diagramming and/or performance modelling in the UK railway industry
• Experience of timetable planning tools such as VoyagerPlan, TrainPlan etc. and/or RailSys
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer-literate
• Good team-working skills
• Enthusiasm, energy and a sense of humour
Desirable:
• Wider experience of working in the Railway industry, especially in Performance Analysis or Operational Planning
• Project management and report writing skills
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience, plus benefit package including performance related bonus/share option scheme, pension and private health care (after a qualifying period).
