Contract
We have an exciting new opportunity to work as a Research Grant Co-ordinator within a large railway industry organisation, a stones throw away from Liverpool Street Station. Working for a big company like this offers great personal development, which is a fantastic move for your career.
To be successful as a candidate you will be degree qualified and need experience of project managing teams with a structured and organised approach. In this position you will be part of the R&D Partnerships team and will be responsible for monitoring co-funded research projects from when grant proposals are received and selected to when all deliverables are completed, and the findings disseminated. You will be working with project teams and stakeholders (within and outside the rail industry) to ensure that high quality research for rail is delivered.
Within this team the key contribution provided by this role consists in excellent project monitoring skills that ensure sound support and challenge to winning consortia. To do so the role needs to gain a sound understanding of what good look like at the end of the project from a rail industry perspective.
The most rewarding part of the job is to have played a key role not only in informing initial feasibility studies that could address key industry challenges but in getting buy in and commitment from industry players and funding bodies to take some of these concepts to the next stage of development.
McGinley Support Services is committed to equal opportunities and actively seeks applications from all sectors of the community irrespective of gender, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, having responsibility for dependants, age, religion/beliefs, or any other reason which cannot be shown to be justified.
McGinley Support Services is committed to making reasonable adjustments in order for all candidates who are successfully put through to the interview stage to be able to attend.
