Service Sales Account Manager, Rail Battery Refurbishment
Reports To: UK Service Sales Manager – Power and Battery
Function: Service Sales
Location: Sheffield
JOB SUMMARY
To support the market technically and commercially & to help maintain and grow the existing business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage service sales pricing policies and quotation preparation arrangements to ensure consistency and a professional offering to the customer
- Provide technical support at quotation stage to ensure 100% compliance to customer specification
- Liaise with the battery refurb team leader referencing all contractual requirements i.e. WOSS/technical specification, technical bulletin documentation etc.
- Sales operations management (CRM, order intake recording, assist on input to forecast)
- Proactive liaison and negotiation with customers regarding follow up of outstanding quotations.
- Interface with 3rd parties and vendors where applicable
- Assist the teams and processes for production, order loading and invoicing where applicable
- Provide input into sales strategy in association with management
- Assist in the management of client KPI’s
- Monitor performance against the agreed strategy and performance targets
- Service sales focal point for Customers and Management on battery related matters
- Provide support for Battery Refurbishment Administrator when and where applicable
- Analyse and monitor the battery refurbishment commercial process implementing improvement where required
- Coordinate project time frames in line with client expectations
- Produce technical reports and presentations
- Analyse test data
- Manage the implementation of specialised test regimes
- Programme data recording equipment
- Produce 2D drawings
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate the supply of products
- Select battery technology and rating for specialised applications
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Experience in RAIL industry
- Experience with battery maintenance and replacements or DC electrical knowledge
- Team Player/able to work independently
- Target Driven/motivated
- Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
- Industry Knowledge with a technical background
- Able to build Relationships with key contacts internally & externally
- Computer literate
- Previous sales experience desirable
