Our team is growing, and we’d love for you to be part of the journey.Role SummaryThis is a hands-on, site-based engineering role working physically on trains and in rail environments. The role requires regular travel to live rail sites across the UK and physical installation and maintenance work on rolling stock.We are looking for an Engineer to join our Site Team, carrying out hands-on installation, commissioning, and maintenance work directly on trains predominantly out of our Derby production facility with occasional nationwide visits.This is a practical, physically active role involving regular work on rolling stock, in depots, sidings, and other rail environments. You will be installing, commissioning, and maintaining advanced onboard systems including machine-vision cameras, laser measurement systems, thermal sensors, embedded Linux devices, IP networking, and GPS/4G/5G equipment.The role requires confidence working in operational rail environments, secure or restricted sites, and following strict safety procedures. Site & Systems Engineer

A leading client in the Rail Rolling Stock Industry is recruiting for Vehicle Painters to work on a contract basis based at their site in Widnes, Cheshire. Hours of work are 07:00-16:30, Monday to Friday.Roles are inside scope of IR35.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing rail vehicles and components to the highest quality standards. This role is crucial in ensuring the trains meet the stringent aesthetic and durability requirements expected in the industry.Key Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces of rail vehicles and components for painting, ensuring all areas are free of dirt, rust, and imperfections.</li><li>Application of Paint: Apply primers, base coats, and finishing coats using spray guns, rollers, and brushes, following detailed specifications and colour codes.</li><li>Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of painted surfaces to identify and correct any defects, ensuring a smooth and even finish.</li><li>Touch-Up Work: Perform touch-up painting and refinishing as needed to address any imperfections or damages.</li><li>Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilation systems.</li><li>Maintenance of Equipment: Maintain and clean all painting equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and ready for use.</li><li>Record Keeping: Document all work performed, including paint types, color codes, and job completion dates, in accordance with company policies.</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and maintenance personnel, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specification.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul>
<li>Experience: Have worked spraying Vehicles or Machines to same calibre.</li><li>Skills: Proficiency in various painting techniques and methods, including spray painting. Familiarity with different types of paint and finishing products.</li><li>Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.</li><li>Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations related to painting operations, including the use of hazardous materials.</li><li>Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.</li><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.</li></ul>
