Our team is growing, and we’d love for you to be part of the journey.Role SummaryThis is a hands-on, site-based engineering role working physically on trains and in rail environments. The role requires regular travel to live rail sites across the UK and physical installation and maintenance work on rolling stock.We are looking for an Engineer to join our Site Team, carrying out hands-on installation, commissioning, and maintenance work directly on trains predominantly out of our Derby production facility with occasional nationwide visits.This is a practical, physically active role involving regular work on rolling stock, in depots, sidings, and other rail environments. You will be installing, commissioning, and maintaining advanced onboard systems including machine-vision cameras, laser measurement systems, thermal sensors, embedded Linux devices, IP networking, and GPS/4G/5G equipment.The role requires confidence working in operational rail environments, secure or restricted sites, and following strict safety procedures. <li>Maintain the project schedule by tracking progress, coordinating tasks, and addressing any issues that arise.</li>
<li>Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard while ensuring strong health and safety practices across all work sites.</li>
<li>Manage the project plan by reviewing designs, drawings, specifications, and schedules, recommending adjustments as needed. Oversee project costs by approving expenditures and managing contractor contracts.</li>

 About You: 
<ul>
<li>Possess strong knowledge of railway project delivery, a solid understanding of CDM regulations, and familiarity with rail-specific health and safety requirements.</li>
<li>Apply Network Rail processes and procedures to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and safe design, construction, commissioning, and technical activities across relevant projects.</li>
<li>Negotiate contracts with external suppliers to secure favourable terms, and work closely with engineers, architects, and other specialists to define project specifications.</li>
<li>Develop a detailed project plan to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget, monitor progress, and clearly communicate updates to clients and team members.</li>
<li>Maintain ongoing communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to keep them fully informed of project status.</li>
