The Research directorate runs the research programme, generating new knowledge for the industry and supporting the dissemination and implementation of that knowledge. The principal responsibility of the analyst team is to assess ideas for new research projects. The analysts develop the project’s case for research, ensuring that the project will support the strategic needs of the rail industry and will represent good return on the investment.
