Chief Signalling Expert - India
We are seeking a Chief Signalling Expert for a major railway project in India, working with a leading European consultancy. This critical role involves overseeing all system aspects, specifically signalling, automatic fare collection, platform screen doors, and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Critical Study: Review of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), focusing on systems integration for signalling, fare collection, platform screen doors, and telecom.
- Procurement Strategy & Bid Management: Develop procurement strategies and manage the bid process for contractors, suppliers, and design consultants.
- Design Proof-Checking: Ensure technical proposals, designs, and specifications are in line with system integration requirements.
- Supervision of Implementation: Oversee the implementation of systems, ensuring all tasks meet project timelines and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement the Quality Assurance Plan for systems integration across signalling, fare collection, platform doors, and telecommunications.
- Testing, Trials, and Commissioning: Supervise inspections, testing, trials, statutory approvals, and system commissioning.
- Capacity Building: Transfer knowledge and provide capacity building for NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation).
- Project Management & Monitoring: Ensure the project is on track, manage risks, and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in signalling and related systems within rail projects.
- Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline.
- Metro & Railway Signalling Systems (ERTMS, ETCS, CBTC, and Telecom)
- Proven experience in leading large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of signalling systems, telecommunication, and associated technologies.
- Ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and technical teams.
