Our Egis team in Poland is expanding, as we are searching for a Signalling Engineer.
In this role you will have opportunity to work as part of our multidisciplinary team to provide valuable support with complex signalling design projects. The successful candidate will also manage the production, checking and approval of feasibility studies, outline and detailed design.
Egis is involved in several contracts in the railway sector and intend to increase its activity and its key resources in Poland.
This is a permanent role supporting various Egis projects; however, the initial project will be to participate in the Polish railway projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of signalling concept, preliminary & detailed designs.
- Verifying and/leading the production of signalling designs.
- Controlling quality and ensuring targets are achieved and deliverables meet the requirement/expectations.
- Providing safety-related signalling design deliverables at both a principle and system level.
- Development of junior team members.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Fluent and articulate Polish
- Construction qualifications (licence) without limitations for designing in the railway engineering specialization in the field of railway traffic control
- Chartered Engineer status in Poland
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience in Signalling Design
- Experience as a Principal Signalling Design Engineer
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- At least, during the past 10 years, the documentation one railway bridge or viaduct
- At least, during the past 10 years, the documentation of one rail or road tunnel
- During the past 10 years, the position of bridge engineer for at least 2 projects of design for the construction or the reconstruction, or feasibility studies or preliminary studies for railway lines above 200 km/h.
- A clear understanding of a multi-disciplinary design approach and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stage gates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a solutions-focused mindset within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and a great team player.
