Rail ETCS Signalling Expert

EWI are seeking a highly skilled Signalling Expert (ETCS Level 2) to join a prestigious long-term railway project in Manila, Philippines. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2, ensuring safe and efficient railway operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETCS Level 2 Design and Implementation: Lead and manage the ETCS Level 2 system deployment, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications.
• Integration and Testing: Oversee the integration of ETCS with other railway subsystems and perform testing and validation activities to ensure system performance.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all signalling systems adhere to strict safety regulations and operational standards, including fail-safe designs and risk assessments.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution and timely project delivery.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, reports, and progress updates for stakeholders and project management.
• Training and Support: Provide training to local teams on ETCS Level 2 systems and offer ongoing technical support during and after system deployment.
• Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during project implementation and operational phases.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in railway signalling systems, with a focus on ETCS Level 2.
• Proven track record of working on international railway projects, particularly in the deployment of ETCS.
• Strong knowledge of signalling principles, systems integration, and safety standards (such as CENELEC or equivalent).
• Experience in project management, including coordination with international teams and contractors.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $9,000 - $10,000 USD tax free per month.
