About the role

Amey are currently working on a long-term upgrade of the core valley lines in South Wales direct for Transport for Wales. Amey Consulting are completing the multi-discipline design right the way through from the optioneering stage to detailed design.

In readiness for commencing further work packages in 2020 we are recruiting a Responsible Engineer to deliver packages of Signalling design works. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day technical management of a team of Signalling designers, engaging with sub-contract design suppliers, progress reporting to the Signalling delivery manager, attendance at technical review meetings, attendance at IDC's and representing Amey on technical matters at client meetings.

What are we looking for?

• IRSE Engineering Manager (Design) / Principles Designer License
• IEng / CEng Accreditation

• Strong knowledge of Signalling principles and standards
• Knowledge of Signalling design practices and procedures
• Previous experience of project delivery to cost and programme
• Good communications and team working skills
• Strong leadership skills
