Responsible Signalling Engineer (Inside IR35)

As a Responsible Signaling Engineer, your main responsibilities would be:
- Liaising with other departments to ensure completion of site enabling, antenna & rigging, cable termination and detailed design documentation in order to support the commissioning plan
- To accept sites as ready for commissioning from the construction project managers, while supervising the implementation by commissioning engineers of new equipment onto the infrastructure
- Enabling the appropriate degree of testing and commissioning of the new equipment as appropriate and provide direct line management to deal with staff issues relating to HR, holiday, health and safety, training / technical competence and quality
- To support the Commissioning & Operations Manager to deliver to the project manager concise and complete results and as-built documentation to support hand back to the network maintainer
You’ll have:
- Successful relevant experience in signalling engineering, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas
- Ideally, IRSE
- Technical qualifications to HNC/HND or equivalent GNVQ level
- Knowledge of quality assurance
- An understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of work
- CDM, risk assessment, engineering management competency
