Our client, a leading engineering business, are now looking for a Signalling CEM to help lead their team in Swindon. You'll need experience in engineering management on multi-disciplinary signalling focused projects and a good amount of experience of the discipline across design, construction and testing.

This will be on a 6-month rolling contract (inside IR35) and offers hybrid working (3 days in the office).

Principal responsibilities:

• Advise project and programme management in respect of all construction activities, testing and commissioning, and site supervision.
• Monitor engineering performance, acting promptly to address any engineering issues that arise during the delivery of all projects.
• Identify & deliver an appropriate audit & assurance program throughout the internal & external supply chain for projects.
• Lead, direct, mentor and advise all engineering related staff to ensure that working environment and work practices meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Legislation and conforms to the Network Rail and Company Standards, instructions and best practices.
• Provide all required input and deliverables required to ensure timely hand back of all projects.

Key skills/experience required:

• Must have acted in the role of CEM and CRE design and or construction within signalling.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Significant experience of system interfaces and successful integration with other disciplines
• Significant experience of CDM, CSM-RA and Interoperability
• Good commercial awareness

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree Preferred, minimum technical qualifications to HNC/HND or equivalent GNVQ level.
• Chartered Engineer or working toward Chartered Engineer status.
