Advance TRS has an excellent opportunity for someone with signalling design experience. We're helping an inclusive company find a Signalling Design Delivery Manager in York, and the flexible role comes with a generous salary of up to £70k p/a. The collaborative role involves travelling around signalling design centres in the UK.

The Design Delivery Manager - Signalling will undertake activities that support signalling design projects within the SS&I business. The role is based in York, although travel to other project locations, client offices and design offices will need to be undertaken when necessary.

If you were already in this role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:

• Using a wide range of signalling technologies, including SMART LOCK 400T, Modular Control Systems and VHLC
• Managing design teams in the delivery of projects, providing technical leadership
• Undertaking design reviews to ensure that design is delivered as scheduled and to applicable standards
• Working with various teams, including signalling design, project delivery, product development and network rail

The projects you will be working on are multidiscipline, complex and strategically important to clients. They include resignalling, enhancement projects and the digital railway initiative.To apply, you will require an HNC/HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The following are also desirable:

• 1.1.550 IRSE Signalling Principles Designer License and 1.1.160 IRSE Signalling Design Verifier License
• Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) approved assessor validation
• IRSE A1 assessor or equivalent
• BSc or BEng degree level education in an engineering discipline You will also require signalling design experience and in-depth knowledge of signalling systems and all related technical know-how, practical skills and regulations.
