We currently dealing with a major rail engineering contractor, who are looking to expand the team by recruiting a Signalling Design Engineer based in the Swindon area. As the Signalling Design Engineer, you will be producing integrated non-principles design details for relevant parts of new or altered signalling systems as well as making use of design typical constructs.

Your job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out the verification of the design detail in accordance with the limitations of the designers Authority to Work
- Act as a mentor to junior and less experienced members of the team
- Prepare Outline Project and Signalling Design Specifications
- Produce pre-feasibility and feasibility reports and present any fundamental findings of the report to the client
- Assist with signalling infrastructure condition assessment surveys and site surveys, and act as departmental liaison when other engineering disciplines and client representatives are involved
- Assist with testing and commissioning when required
- Provide signalling design estimates; technical expertise and input for signalling related proposals for new projects during feasibility and final detailed design stage
- Be involved throughout the project lifecycle from GRIP 1-8 acting as the Designer / Verifier (if licence held) within the respective GRIP stages
To be considered for this role the candidate must have the following requirements:
- Previous experience within the signalling industry
- Experience of producing Network Rail GRIP 4 design deliverables (desirable)
- Holding or working towards IRSE Designer License
- Membership of IRSE (desirable)
- Awareness of cross discipline engineering issues
