Position - IRSE Signalling Installer
Perform signalling installation activities in a planned and safe manner, while meeting the quality and specifications required.
An opportunity has arisen with one of the UK's largest rail infrastructure companies to become part of their signals team.
Terms - Contract
Duration - Circa 6 months
Salary - Negotiable depending on experience and licenses held
Location - You will be based out of the Scotland depot and will be working on the LNW route, a driving licence is essential.

LNW (Northern) S&C Alliance, one of the main renewals projects in the UK.
Requirements & Responsibilities
- Apply relevant installation, technical and safety standards applicable to your engineering activities, to provide a quality installation service.
- Competently carry out a range of signalling activities
- Comply with appropriate installation, technical and safety standards to provide a safe and quality installation service.
- Perform installation and alternation work on signalling equipment and complete appropriate inspection to ensure the work meets infrastructure specification.
- Ensure that work is only carried out on authorised jobs and that all resources are correctly approached.
- Determine and implement safe systems of work, ensure that accurate records of these are maintained.
- Ensure that the correct materials, design & plant are gathered before attending site.
- Keep abreast of emerging standards relating to signal installation and, assist with their implementation as directed.
- Work to project program and, all other identified safety, quality and environmental plans.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment, safety measuring and test equipment issued to you, or made available for your use, in the proper manner. Keep it fit for purpose by careful use, storage and, where appropriate, check that inspection and testing is in date.
- Carry out handover/ handback arrangements for S&T equipment.
- Maximise the productivity of other employees and sub-contractors when under your direct control.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times and, is maintained to acceptable levels.
- Ensure that accurate records of any work carried out, or any deficiencies in this work, are maintained.
- Perform inspection of signalling installation systems and circuits to identify non-compliance to specification
Candidate profile
- Have your Signalling Installer IRSE licence: 1.2.110 OR
- Have your Signalling Team Leaders IRSE Licence 1.8.100
- Be able to clearly demonstrate your signalling installation experience in the Rail Industry
