Australia is now facing a candidate shortage across Signalling in all the states mentioned and companies are now looking overseas to boost their teams due to an extensive skill shortage in Australia.

We are looking to speak with Signalling professionals with extensive Design experience. From Engineers through to leadership roles, u&u are working with a number of large consultancies and operators. The roles are all permanent opportunities. Due to recent changes in visa's for overseas candidates and the relaxation of immigration rules in regards to COVID 19, these organisations will be looking to conduct interviews in late 2021 / early 2022 before mobilising candidates to Australia.

What will set you apart?

• Working on major infrastructure projects within rail, ideally greenfield rail projects, modifications and upgrades of existing networks.
• Development of Signalling design including drawings, design reports, engineering calculations to provide assurance that the design meets their clients requirements.
• Identify and assist in resolving non-conformances with the design standards.
• Assist with the preparation of design specifications for the collection of design inputs such as site survey.
• Provide technical advice on projects to other officers/divisions and external parties as directed
• Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements including conducting and participating in Safety in Design, risk assessments, and peer reviews as required.

Requirements

• Preference will be given to candidates who possess work rights in Australia (not essential due to sponsorship opportunities)
• A relevant Engineering Degree. Unfortunately, the ability to sign designs off in Australia requires a degree.
• Commitment to live and work in Australia for a period of time. Companies are flexible on location in country.
• Able to mobilise within 3 months of applying and being offered a role
