Principles Signalling Design Engineer Remote

We are currently dealing with a Rail Engineering consultancy who are looking to expand the team by recruiting a Principles Signalling Design Engineer, with their main office being based in Stratford-upon-Avon but offering full remote working. Within this role, you will be supporting the Design Manager and leading one of the professional engineering delivery teams on innovative cross-functional rail projects. As Lead Signalling Design Engineer, you will be working in a collaborative and mentor role expanding existing vertical signalling design skills across the wider Rail Control Systems Engineering team projects, providing engineering design, consulting, independent review expertise. You will be required to attend client and stakeholder meetings to deliver the clients project brief, as well as assisting the Project Management functions.
Within this role as Principles Signalling Design Engineer, you will participate in the preparation of the project program with other functional specialists, including associated time and resource planning and skills matrix development. You will also develop the signalling design scope from the clients technical documentation, supporting tender submission and pre-project site visits. As Principles Signalling Designer you will follow programmes closely and be responsible for risk and impact assessments that may have significant effects on meeting key dates. You will bring feedback from technical review meetings to the design team and will participate and support the Design Managers weekly Design Review meetings, taking Chair where required. Also, you will mentor colleagues and will be required to provide regular reports on your team project performance and review progress. As Principles Design Engineer you will implement the design scope, ensuring the design team understands project requirements to meet specifications ready for design review.

The work location will be centered on the companys Headquarters Offices, Stratford-upon-Avon, but you will be able to work within the companys Agility Framework and Hybrid Work Policy, meaning your day-to-day work base can be adaptable, only attending the office for essential client meetings, mentor meetings and peer reviews. Job requirements:
- IRSE Principles Design License category 1.1.550
- IRSE Verifiers 1.1.160 License
- At least 10 years experience
- Working towards Chartered Engineer or Engineering Manager
- CRE experience
- Understanding Bid/Tender process
