What you'll be doing
As a Signalling Programme Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:
- To lead the day-to-day operations of the Signalling Delivery Unit
- To work with the work winning team on bids to assist growth of a profitable business in line with the overall Signalling Business Plan targets and growth strategy
- As part of the Signalling Leadership Team, you will attend signalling executive team meetings and provide input and improvements across the signalling business
- Full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for all signalling projects
- Resource management and planning, including identification of skills gaps, recruitment and training to maximise operational performance for project managers, project directors and project controls
- Deliver work safely, to time and to high standards of quality in line with the Gated Lifecycle process
- Build, grow, motivate, inspire, lead and sustain the project delivery organisation (including supply chain where necessary) to support safe, effective and profitable operational delivery
- Understanding of applicable legislation, national and client standards framework
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Extensive knowledge of railway signalling systems and sub-systems project delivery and engineering assurance
- Knowledge of appropriate industry standards relating to signalling and telecoms works
- Extensive experience in project management in signalling & telecoms within rail
- APM Membership
- Valid PTS with AC/DC
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Business and management acumen
- Skilled in collaborative working, team-working and networking
