Signalling Project Engineer CRE

Contract

We are currently dealing with a Rail Engineering consultancy who are looking to expand the team by recruiting a Signalling Project Engineer CRE, with their main office being based in Stratford-upon-Avon but offering a flexible work approach as required by project demands. Within the role as Signalling CRE, you will be required to support the delivery of the companys projects within the approved values of engineering excellence and safety aligned, with the GRIP standard throughout the project. You will be responsible to implementing industry best practice, following company procedures and transaction standards with pre-defined measurable objects and timelines. The role has a technical interface with the company design and project delivery functions for site delivery of the client project(s).

Within the role as Signalling CRE, you will be responsible for the provision of technical advice and guidance on projects, ensuring engineering excellence is achieved throughout the cycle of the project, from design and implementation through to completion. You will be expected to communicate any issues that may adversely impact the companys ability to deliver the project scope of works, advise on proper engineering standards, follow company systems and procedures in respect of technical design and engineering without exception. As Signalling CRE, you will provide useful input, direction, and feedback at the weekly design briefings. You will apply and report procedures for quantified and qualitative risk assessment and HAZOP analysis. In this role you will advise on design and construction elements, whilst supporting the progress of works with the Project Manager. Also, you will be required to liaise with the engineering Contractor.

Job requirements:

• IRSE Engineering Manager or equivalent status
• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential
• Current PTS
• Knowledge of NWR applicable standards
