Our client currently has requirements for an experienced Signalling Project Engineer covering the Leeds and Sheffield area on an initial 6 month contract basis (out of scope)
The main requirements of the role:
- Cover minor conceptual signalling schemes to functionally equivalent and like for like renewals.
- Cover both DPE for conceptual schemes and RSE for the FED works.
- Required to act as signalling PE on larger multi-disciplinary conceptual schemes such as track renewals and S&C enhancement works.
Skills/Experience required
- Ideally possess an Engineering Management (Project) IRSE license
- Chartered or working towards with a professional institution
- Previous experience as acting the DPE/PE/CRE/CEM roles on signalling renewal schemes.
- To be driven, have a good work ethic and willing to support where required including site visits for on-going works.
- Undertake safety and quality inspections and be confident enough to raise any concerns found at site to the senior team.
- Good communication skills and have no issue with liaising with other parts of the business such as asset management, project management, operations, maintenance, train operating companies, design houses and sub-contractors.
