Signalling Project Engineer / CRE

We are currently seeking a Signalling Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in a long-term, high-profile programme based in Yorkshire.
Position Overview: As a Signalling Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the coordination of engineering works, ensuring seamless interfaces between various railway disciplines within the project and team. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the design and delivery are achieved according to the program and budget. You will play a vital role in maintaining engineering excellence throughout the project's life cycle, from pre-contract tender input, through design and implementation phases, to client handover. Effective resource management and team leadership to meet agreed plans and budgets are also key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate engineering works and interfaces between different railway disciplines.
- Ensure design and delivery are on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain engineering excellence throughout the project life cycle.
- Manage resources and team to meet project plans and budgets.
- Undertake Signalling Engineering activities across GRIP stages.
- Hold or work towards an IRSE Project Engineer's license.
- Hold or work towards a Professional Qualification - IEng or CEng.
- Perform CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer) duties.
- Previous experience working on alliance schemes.
- Collaborate effectively with the project team and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Possess a valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
- Flexibility to work weekends and travel as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Relevant experience in Signalling Engineering across GRIP stages.
- Demonstrated progress toward or possession of an IRSE Project Engineer's license.
- Progress towards or possession of a Professional Qualification - IEng or CEng.
- Experience in undertaking CRE duties.
- Previous involvement in alliance scheme projects.
- Effective team player and collaborator.
