Signalling Systems Manager
Salary: €89k - €100k (commensurate with suitable qualifications and experience)
(Plus relocation or non-resident package as applicable)
Job type: Full-time and Fixed Duration/Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team providing engineering and technical support to railway signalling technical systems to include signalling interlockings, train detection and train protection systems, level crossing control systems and other ancillary technical systems utilised in the signalling infrastructure.
- Ensure the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools are in place and applied throughout the engineering life cycle for each system.
- Lead the introduction of new signalling technologies to enhance capabilities and to manage obsolescence.
- Manage relationships with systems vendors to ensure adequate ongoing support.
- Resolution and reporting of systems technical issues/risks.
- Set and prioritize team objectives in line with the signalling department strategy and goals.
- Manage team resources to ensure adequate system support for all operational and project requirements.
- Manage training and development requirements of staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (level 8) or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering or relevant technical discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience working with railway signalling technical systems.
- Experience in leading or managing technical teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship skills
- Excellent planning, scheduling & organisational skills
- Professional qualification in railway signalling and Project Management is desired.
