We are currently dealing with a major Engineering consultancy who are looking to expand the team by recruiting a Signalling Team Leader, based in Birmingham, to work and lead some of the UKs largest Rail Infrastructure projects. Within this position you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, whilst independently checking and producing signalling designs utilising and building upon previous knowledge and experience.
Within the role of Signalling team leader, you will be expected to undertake the role of Contractors Responsible Engineer (Signalling CRE) on various signalling projects. You will also be required to support the Head of Signalling in the management of the teams signalling design group, whilst exercising the best use of standard design processes and procedures. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance to the signalling design teams, as well as acting as an interface between design team leaders to ensure consistency in the application of best practice, especially when dealing with issues. As a Signalling team leader, it is necessary to be proactive when dealing with resource management, talent management, staff development and succession planning to meet the requirements for ongoing signalling development

Job requires:
- A current IRSE Signalling Principles Designer Licence (essential).
- A current IRSE Design or Senior Design Manager License (desirable).
- A current PTS certificate (desirable).
- Registration with IRSE (desirable).
- Achieved chartership or working towards it
