Specialist in Signaling (Metro, Railway)

We are looking to hire a Specialist in Signaling in the North Africa region for a landmark Metro project.

Reporting to the Project Director the suitable incumbents should qualify as follows:

Qualifications & Skills

• University Degree in Engineer in Mechanical engineering (HVAC, Plumbing, piping), B.Sc. Degree, or with master’s degree or plus in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Post Graduate education such as a MSC is desired
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Worked as Specialist in Signaling at least in one Metro experience
• Excellent knowledge of the English Language
• Professional use of Microsoft Suite
• Managerial and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct new remote-controlled signal installations and optimize existing ones.
• Manage teams that will execute projects of low responsibility.
• Program control systems by means of specific signaling and remote-controlled software.
• Design tracks maps that include signaling systems that use computer-design programs such as AutoCad.
• Carry out the monitoring of signaling systems maintenance, located in equipment installed on the trains themselves.
• Carry out monitoring of the maintenance teams and the signaling systems installed on tracks.
• Coordinate and supervise the responsibilities of IT center work teams that control stretches of track, and central control posts.
• Generate documentation related to incidences associated with track signaling and remote control and carry out proposed improvements.
• Elaborate studies and carry out the analysis of information that serve to increase the quality of signaling and control systems.
