Senior Agent / CRE Civils

£425 - £500 per day, inside IR35 (UMBRELLA ONLY)

Crawley or Hertfordshire

12-month contract initially

Are you an experienced Senior Agent and Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) within Civils who is looking for your next long term contract opportunity?

You will be site based and can either work at Crawley or Hertfordshire locations.

Duties

  • Be responsible for overall accountability of Temporary Works (TWks) management to ensure compliance for site safety and business risk management in that the temporary works are designed, checked, approved, inspected, tested, and safely removed.
  • Responsible for the Project Management of the design deliverables to assure the safest, cost effective and buildable temporary and permanent works designs that meet with the Client’s specification.
  • Overall accountability for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the technical, construction and engineering activities and technical assurance within a specific engineering discipline for the contract/s compliant with NR/L2/INI/02009 and associated technical standards.
  • The Senior Agent & CRE shall confirm that the discipline design and / or construction complies with all applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements and specifications.

Essential Requirements

  • MICE CEng (preferred)
  • Min HNC / HND Civil Engineering
  • 10 years minimum relevant experience in similar role.
  • Robust knowledge of site engineering practices and equipment
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Good programme commercial and personable acumen.
  • IT proficient
  • 5 years minimum relevant experience in Temporary Works Management
  • Similar levels of TWks complexity experience evidenced in past 5 years.
  • Robust knowledge and practitioner of TWks management
  • Good resource management and priority decision maker
