JOB TITLE: Senior Agent - Rail
LOCATION: West Sussex
SALARY: £425-500 Per Day (Umbrella)

THE CLIENT
My client is a multinational infrastructure group who are currently recruiting for a Senior Agent to join them on a major Rail project on an initial 6 month contract basis. This role will fall within IR35 so we are unable to recruit any candidates who wish to be paid via a Ltd company.

THE ROLE
* Overall accountability for the day-to-day management, co-ordination and technical assurance of all engineering and construction activities within the team for the contracts as Senior Agent, and a singular specific engineering discipline for the contracts as CRE.
* To manage efficient deployment of Field Quality Engineers providing controlled direction, support and mentorship to ensure all site engineering activities are safely delivered to high accuracy, quality and technically assured. To provide regular status reporting, problem solving and management in collaboration with the CEM and the Project Lead
* Overall accountability of temporary works (TWks) management to ensure compliance to BS5975 for site safety and business risk management in that the temporary works are designed, checked, approved, inspected, tested and safely removed.
* Accountable to ensure key roles to be appointed are competent and approved by the DI. To condemn or instruct works to cease ensuring no person or infrastructure is put at risk of harm or damage.
* Responsible for the Project Management of the design deliverables to assure the safest, cost effective and buildable temporary and permanent works designs that meet with the Client's specification and industry standards, within budget and to meet programme.
* Implement the management of design services compliant with Network rail and the company Rail standards. See accountabilities section The Senior Agent and Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) Civils role and responsibilities are to be discharged in accordance with specific requirements of the Project, Network Rail standards, guidance notes and Project Advice Notes (PANs).
* Overall accountability for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the technical, construction and engineering activities and technical assurance within a specific engineering discipline for the contract/s compliant with NR/L2/INI/02009 and

ABOUT YOU
* Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety)
* Collaborative and influential leadership skills
* Good resource management and priority decision maker
* High customer focus and passionate right first time approach
* Undertakes performance improvement action where required.
* MICE CEng (preferred)
* Min HNC//HND Civil Engineering
* 10 years minimum relevant experience in similar role.
* Robust knowledge of site engineering practices and equipment
* Excellent managerial skills
* Good programme commercial and personable acumen.
* IT proficient
* Process control orientated
* Self-motivated
* Approachable and diplomatic
* 5 years minimum relevant experience in Temporary Works Management
* Similar levels of TWks complexity experience evidenced in past 5 years
* Robust knowledge and practitioner of TWks management
