As Site Agent working for a specialist civil, building, mechanical and electrical renewals and maintenance business recognised on contracts and frameworks across the country, you will become part of a renowned brand name and team giving you the opportunity to grow in conjunction with this ambitious and forward-thinking business. About the Job

This is an outstanding opportunity to make your mark as Buildings Site Agent, leading the delivery of a portfolio of rail building projects including stations and depots. Works are typically quite small scale and low in value building refurbishments but there is an increasing amount of work being awarded from the framework, emphasising the need for a Site Agent with building knowledge and expertise to take the lead and ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the required specifications.

With a distinct focus on Project delivery, this role will give you the opportunity to utilise all your knowledge and expertise on building projects where you will demonstrate your all-round skills and capabilities of overseeing building projects associated with rail building works including but not limited to stations and depots.

The role will see you responsible for building refurbishment and upgarde works from tender input, scoping and providing solutions, through to project inception, design, delivery and completion including assisting the estimators with bid compilation, bid coordination of the scope of works and methodology, liaising directly with the client, procurement, Health & Safety Management, quality management, site supervision, management of subcontractors and in-direct labour.

Projects can vary in size and type but may typically include refurbishment works such as painting, tiling, roof works etc. through to building façade works and larger scale building extensions.

The Ideal candidate

To make this role your own, you will be an accomplished Building/Construction works Site Agent with a technical Engineering background (qualification) ideally within the rail industry with a bias towards stations and depot building refurbishments and upgardes. You should have demonstrable experience of around 10 to 15 years working on building projects with a clear knowledge and understanding of building principles and best practice as a Site Agent or Project Manager.

The Requirements

You should be educated to HNC/HND/Degree level or equivalent in a relevant building/construction discipline and your experience to date should be demonstrable working as a Site Agent for a main contractor on a similar buildings projects or framework environments. This experience will ideally be in a rail environment on stations and depot refurbishment/buildings projects but candidates from outside of the rail sector would also be considered (commercial buildings, schools, hospitals etc.)

The Salary

• £45,000 - £55,000 + car/allowance + Pension 5% + Healthcare + 25 days holiday + BH
