SUB AGENT - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Sub Agent required to work with a well established Rail contractor based in the North West. This is a permanent opportunity and would be suited to someone who is looking to develop their career and knowledge of delivering rail infrastructure projects. The works are all based around the North West, and commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Preston and Cheshire areas. The projects will involve platform extensions, station upgrades and line-side civils, so experience in these areas would be beneficial.

The role:

• Overseeing the technical requirements whilst delivering major rail infrastructure projects
• Working as part of a framework agreement, as a partner contractor
• Monitoring all technical requirements and design requirements for the project
• Attending review meeting, providing progress reports
• Management of sub-contractors
• Establishing excellent relationships with key stakeholders, and engaging in community engagement projects

Requirements:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) within civil engineering, construction management or related field
• Experience of working on several rail projects, within a technical role i.e. civil engineering
• Excellent understanding of Network Rail policies and principles
• Completing project paperwork, such as WPP's, Task Briefings and method statements
• Excellent understanding of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
• Consistent liaison with the Planning, Design and commercial functions within the business
• Experience of working as a Site Engineer, Senior engineer
• Capable of setting out works and checking engineers work
• PTS
• SMSTS
