Our client, a major construction company is seeking to employ a Sub Agent to be based in the Peterborough area working on a major rail scheme within the Region.

Your roles and responsibilities will consist of :

Programme:

Produce 3-6 month construction programmes and monitor progress.
Produce short term, 4- week look ahead programme, including site changes and delays
Review and monitor sub-contractor's programmes. Identify delays and mitigation strategies.
Manage subcontractors, liaise with other teams, works managers etc to ensure works are completed and handed over.
Plan, propose and develop methodologies for works, identify interfaces, issues, temporary works requirements, protection etc. Review and prepares WPP, TBS's etc.
Placing & tracking Material orders
Quality:

Develop ITP's, quality check sheets etc. as required across multiple disciplines and/or review and support Senior/Site engineers in preparing documentation
Support and mentor Engineers in reviewing permanent works, site issues, changes etc. Provide proposed solutions, prepare TQN's etc.
Ensure quality of works, compliance with specification, ITPs and drawings. Support senior and site engineers with compliance.
Temporary Works

Supervise temporary works and mentor engineer in developing understanding of falsework, formwork and temporary works requirements.
Prepare temporary works briefs, manage temporary works requirements for multiple packages
Safety:

Manage, review and maintain subcontractors RAMS, TBS, WPP etc to ensure documentation is accurate, up to date and approved prior to works commencing.
Oversee activities on site, ensuring methodologies are followed and supporting approval of change.
Commercial

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing of various works as required.
Prepare scope of works for Invitations to tender
Track and monitor variations and on-site instructions. Identify change and submit Change management form/Early warnings to client/sub-contractors


Candidate Requirements

Civil Engineering Experience Essential
SMSTS
Knowledge of Temporary Works
